Anyone go through a 3rd week stall?
So, I'm now in the start of my 4th week post-op and since about the begining of my 3rd week the scale has not moved at all. I was going through about a 1-2 pound a day drop post-op and over the last 8 days, I haven't lost anything. I'm monitoring my eating and water and I'm still compliant to what the doctor told me. My total calorie intake is about 800-1200/day depending on how my day went. Anyone else go through this? Anything to help kick it off again?
Yep same thing happened to me.
I only lost .3 lbs during my third week. I think it was because according to my surgeons plan I began adding more soft foods.
After weighing Monday and only being .3 lbs different from last Monday I weighed this morning and was down almost 2.5 lbs.
So things will pick up just stick with your dr's instructions.

I don't really know if I did or not. I weighed at 10 days post op because of a post-op visit with the doc and again at 6 wks for the same reason. I have no idea what happened in between. That's the only way I could keep from getting all mental and **** about it. Sometimes you gotta put up the scale and tape until a predetermined date. We're all a bunch of impatient suckers. I'm the worst.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
Same thing happened with me also.
I've just kept on with the Doc's orders... Walking, Water and eating the right stuff.
I don't think I've been a fast loser anyway, but when the scale stopped moving, it was kind of a bummer. Still having to keep my head up and focused on the goal. I'm only losing like 3lbs a week at max right now. I'm only 8 weeks out. I really thought it would be a bit more dramatic than it's been. I can say that my body is changing with all this though. I mean I'm down about #65 now total.
Multiple pants sizes, shirt sizes, etc.
Keep your head up bro... your body is going through alot of change and might take a week or two for it to shrink some, but then you'll just be burping and farting your way around more =)
I'm about a week ahead of you (today is my 6 week mark) and I have been in a stall for about the last 8 days. The scale has actually fluctuated a pound or so upwards!
I know I'm eating right because I keep track of everything that goes in my mouth. I even got the BodyBugg thing and I'm averaging an 1800 calorie deficit every day! With that average I should be dropping about a pound every other day but it's just not happening.
I'm just giving it a few more days and hoping something will just fall off. The only other thing I could think of is that I might be retaining water so I might start on the water pill again for a few days.

mmp,
In answer to the question in the title, probably just about everyone. My doc allowed me vigorous rigorous exercise two weeks out, so from that point on I was back to 10 hours a week. And I'm sure I was getting at least 1200 calories in or I would have passed out. At any rate, I didn't have any stalls until about seven months out, when I was already under my docs goal of 195.
So if you can't/ don't want to exercise a lot, a little more protein is the cliche of the day.
Best Wishes,
Dave
I had a 4 week stall. I was tracking everything I ate and I was good on calories, fats, and protiens, but the scale would not budge. I even upped my walking and exercise. Then I had a weekend of working on the yard with a lot of physical labor and I lost 5 pounds seemingly overnight. Now, I just track my food and put the scale away in the closet.
