Found a Protein I LOVE! Are the Nut. Values Too high?
Right now I am using GNC's new Whey Isolate 28. It's ok, but something told me there was something better tasting out there. So, after a fervent search I found the protein of my dreams - Syntha-6 Mochaccino. Really, it's lick the glass good. So I went to go check it out and am concerned about it's nutritional information.
In order to get 30g of protein I will need to use a scoop and a half which equals 66g! In that 66g there are 300 calories, 9g of fat, 82.5mg of cholesterol, and 22.5g of carbs. Seems a bit high to me... what do ya'll think?
Thanks,
Justin
Man, I knew my inner fatty (which, for the moment, matches my outer fatty btw) would lead me to the most high carb, high fat, high calorie, yet absolutely delicious supplement there was!
I think I'll stick with my GNC stuff... or perhaps even try the ON 100% Whey Gold Standard... but that's the last one that I'll try.
This was actually one of the samples I got from vitalady... smell made me gag... taste was actually not that bad! However, since I would only use it to "change it up" a bit from time to time I don't think I want to buy a whole jug of it. I mean, if I want crazy good banana taste I guess I could always just, well, add a banana...lol
Let me tell you, the things to women seem to rave about just don't do it for me. I tried some of that Nectar stuff and could even finish the glass. I'm trying hard not to be a protein puss... but man, some of that stuff is NASTY!
GNC has many body builder whey protein blends. These are high calorie, high carb, and designed for muscle building. You need the Isopure which is very low or no carb, and very low or not calorie type, depending on the flavor.

The GNC Isolate I have is apparently "new." It has a 78% protein content with 28g of protein per scoop and only 130 calories, .5g fat, 5mg cholesterol, 3g carbs, and 2g sugar.
Like I said... not horrible... good, in fact... but not EXCELLENT! I am going to the grocery store to buy some instant coffee (caffeine free) and dry milk to see if that makes it better.
'll check out the isopure to see what it looks like and keep you updated...
THANKS!
