Surgery tomorrow

As some of you know I had hernia and skin removal (pannectomy) surgery on February 14, 2008, and since that time I have been having some problems with all the fluid accumulation and problems with the drains. I went to the PS today and as a result of my lower abdomen filling up with huge amounts of fluid it has already stretched the skin back out, and there is still a lot of fluid that the drains aren’t getting out. So since he had an opening tomorrow he is going to get me in to the OR and open me back up and drain some of the fluid and pull tight the area that is sagging from where the fluid has been acclimating. He said it won’t be a big deal I should be in and out the same day, but I will have a new set of drains AGAIN to tote around with me for awhile. I am kind of glad he is going to do this because it will make the pannectomy look even better than before. I will post how everything went as soon as I can. Alan H
