New Whey Protein Bullets?
Hey fellas - anyone use the New Whey Protein Bullets? If so, who has the best price on them? I was thinkin of getting a pack of 12 of the fruit punch to try. Thought I could add to my Crystal Light Fruit Punch for sippin throughout the day during the liquid only phase post-op. They have 42 grams of protein. Anyone else done this?
Thanks!

Hey bob....
I got some....seemed like a good idea at the time,,,,but I think they should be called
New Whey Protein Butt Bullets
At least for me....they gave me gas...but most things do...
but try them....ohhh....get them cold.....really cold
Bama, there is no easy answer. I have tried those early on. Could hardly stand them. Tried to force a few down the first few weeks, then gave them away. The problem is your taste changes after WLS. Guys (me included) will buy big containers of whey protein drinks that they can't stand post op. The best suggestion I can give is to go to support groups in your area (or ask friends who have had RNY) and ask people to give you small amounts of what they use. Keep them till after the surgery. Whichever taste best...have someone go buy you some. Just expect to have some whey protein powders on hand that you have to force down till the right one comes along. Brian
Bob I've been using them bought them at GNC $3.49 ea. Had no problem drinking them straight fruit punch, grape, blueberry tolerated all, they have watermelon too. Thought I would see what I liked first then if I was to buy on line my brother gave me a web site he's found to be the cheapest on anything like that. The site is www.dpsnutrition.com hope this helps. Went on their a box of 12 are $27.95. Once you get on the site on the left side it list all manufactures in the case of New-Whey 42g bullets it's IDS click on that and it list their products scroll down until you find what your looking for.
C' ya Bob
I had the same questions early on. I wanted to make the right choices so that I could heal more rapidly and ensure my nutritional needs were being met. There is a forum on Obeisity Helps page stricly about nutrition. You can request information from actual Professional Nutritionist. I have a friend that went through the surgery that swears by these things. He had problems with the powders. So I took his word for it and invested in 4 12 packs. I think I made a mistake. But I will let you decide for yourself. I now have been using Unjury and having no porblems keeping it down. Check out this post on the Nutrition Forum http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/nutrition/a,messageboard/a ction,replies/board_id,5389/cat_id,4989/topic_id,3554041/
Hope this helps. I think the main thing we need to consider is what protein is going to be rapidly absorbed and provide the best bang for a speedy recovery. The truth is all I wanted.
Thanks and Good Luck
Jeff
