Anyone have nausea after your workout?  If so, did you take or do anything to prevent it or atleast help it?  I'm 16 days out, down 42lbs from high weight and 21lbs from surgery weight.  I've been doing mostly cardio since my stomach is still healing.  But after my workout I feel like I want to throw up.  I'm making sure to drink water during my workout and I've drinking a 35g protein shake post workout...the nausea goes away a little while after drinking the protein shake.  I'm not sure if I should drink some before the work out because sometimes the nausea prevents me from completing the workout.  Any help would be appreciated.

You might need something to eat about thirty min . before  your workout . That way you have something to burn .  A protein drink of some sort might help .I still feel that way sometimes after a workout , but thats because I am pushing it a bit hard too .   Best wishes  Nick

Would milk or yogurt help coat the pouch?  I carry whole wheat crackers with me at work.  If I'm nauseous, I just pop some in my mouth.  Also maybe Gas-X with simethicone might help.  Brian

Just guessing, but it could be low blood sugar from not having enough carb or protein in the system. Also, just guessing, but while the old stomach seems to be a shock absorber in itself, the new system may (at least temporarily) be vulnerable to shaking and heavy breathing. I remember my pouch being kind of easily disturbed early on, probably because vibration and breathing tend to move it around.

Hope this helps,

Dave
