Anyone taking Urso Forte for gallbladder?

Doc just put me on this gallbladder medicine called Urso Forte....and I have to cru**** up....so I put it in some ketchup and it's way too disgusting for words, so i'm wondering if anyone else is in the same dilemma.

I too take Urso but i do not have to cru**** up, i take it 2x a day with fluids and the doc said i should only be on it for 6 months post op.

I'm taking Actigall  and that comes in a capsule. I take it twice a day. Maybe  you can ask your Doc for that.

I'm on Actigall as well and I can swallow it whole. It has helped a lot with some of lab work that was really high.

Well come Monday I'm calling the surgeon's office and seeing if I can get the capsule kind b/c I had to mix that crushed up pill with ketchup (just b/c I like ketchup) and omg was that nasty. 

I was put on UrsoForte at my 6 week check up. I take it once a day and have no problem swallowing it whole. I'm supposed to take it for 6 months. The thing that sucks is that there is no generic for the higher dose Forte version, just the 250mg version and the Forte pushes my copay into a higher bracket thus costing me about $10 more a month.

I'm scared to swallow it whole....I'll have to see if that's okay to do, they told me to cru**** though until after about 6 months or whatever.
