Tickfaw, LA eh?  I work right down the road in Hammond.   You may have seen me avoiding cars riding my road bike through Tickfaw on my daily training rides.  :)

My first ordeal with something getting stuck and puking was from shrimp when I was around 2 months out.   I've eaten countless amounts of shrimp since after I learned around how many I can tolerate.   The texture and moisture consitancy of boiled shrimp is different than most meats and you can't really eat as many.   Crawfish on the other hand...  :)   I can eat 5 to 6 pounds of crawfish in a sitting.   (5 to 6 WHOLE pounds which actually accounts for about 8 - 10 ounces of tails)

I may have seen a biker....I live off Randall road right near the interstate.  The shrimp surely kicked my ass after just 3 bites of ONE, and yeah they were boiled.  I didn't realize you lived close to me, though, coincidence? lol  I usually curse the biker folk though b/c I like to drive fast and they inhibit my need for speed, but I'll definitely be on the lookout for you now that I know you're a fellow loser lol

You're from the north though.  Down here we boil seafood especially shrimp and crawfish.

I hunted, fished and lived in southwest Florida for 11 years and we "never" boiled shrimp. We steamed them....they were great steamed with beer. I'd buy a couple of pounds or so right off the boat in Matlacha where I lived for a while. Nothing better than steamed shrimp with and a cold one to go with it. Dave...of course I haven't had a cold one in over a year now....maybe this summer I'll have one or two...

Hey Lance....I'd love to go to Louisiana some day and try "shrimps" boiled and the only thing we use crawfish up here is for catching small mouth. Cajun music is one of my favorites along with blue grass....by the way, I have never had the foamies or dumped (knock on wood) and I've tried just about everything. Then again I've always been a slow eater. The bigest problem I had was "BM's", but I found a remedy for that. Dave

Yea, I figured that out about crawfish about a month ago, I was eatting and eating and eatting, and not getting full. so finally I just stopped - My wife thought I was going to blow chunks @ Swampys (Cajun place in Katy, TX) from eatting too many of them suckers. But now I know that 5lbs - 10oz - what a trade off.  I can just tell them to keep the corn and potatoes and let me at it! (I aint ready for beer just yet, but my mind was all over my wifes corona)

If you're going to blow chunks, a placed called "Swampys" seems like a good place to do it.

Being a "Tex-Coon", Texan by bloodline and a Coonass by birth, all this talk about boiled shrimp and crawdads is driving me nuts.  Think I'll go to the sex board.
