equipment question... anyone experience this?
Had surgery about 15 months ago... got to goal around 8-9 months (lost 160-165 lbs) and feel great.
had a small inguinal hernia on my RIGHT side repaired this past October... uneventful surgery and recovery.
I've noticed that somewhere around sept/oct, my LEFT testicle is almost always retracted... and it's not just the "shrinkage" you get from a cold swim. before, when there was "shrinkage", I could still SEE both of the testicles, they were just up NEAR my body rather than swinging free. now, the right one swings free as it always has, but the left is WAY up inside. not really painful, but sometimes a little uncomfortable. I find that I'm constantly pushing it down back into place, which I CAN do, so it's not like it's STUCK up there... but it goes up on its own, even when the scrotum is loose.
I know... go see a doctor. I have an appt for next week (as early as they could see me) and since I'm not really in PAIN, I don't feel it warrants a trip to the ER.
My theory is that since I've lost so much weight, the fat that USED TO BE in my lower abdomen (holding the testicles down in a way) is no longer there... so there is now this big (fairly empty) cavity in my lower abdomen that makes it easier for the testicles to just slip in.
Anyone else here with similar (or more) weight loss experience something similar? if so, did it resolve on its own? if it didn't go away on its own, how did you get it resolved? (or DID you get it resolved)
I admit I don't post here much, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to post this on the main board.
Thanks.
