A kind soul, new friend, accomplished triathlete and fellow member of my local triathlon club donated a new tri bike to me after reading my plight regarding my previous bike that was way too small for me. I couldn't be happier with it. It looks cool and it's quite comfortable. I installed my aero bars along with some clip on pedals that a friend is letting me borrow for the Lone Star Quarter Ironman this weekend.

Chad Awesome, I just got a 2007 Giant OCR3 road bike. Are there any big differences between a road bike and a tri bike?  I will be using my bike in two sprint tris this summer and an MS 150 in October.  Of course my goal in all these events is to finnish, then next year I will have times to start beating. It's basically just a configuration difference.  You can get your road bike fitted to a tri bike at most local bike shops.  They will raise the seat and lower the front bars usually.   I still have bullshorn bars with clip on aeros but I will eventually buy a carbon aerobar setup for my handlebars.

Cool, Chad...

I was just reading that Triathlete Magazine names Leader one of the "Best Bang For Your Buck" Tri bikes.

Make sure you get a good fitting...

Famous quote: "Nothing worse than someone riding a $5000 Carbon bike with a $5 fit!"

Best of luck at the LoneStar!
