Ditto on everything that has been said.  Once your body stabilizes the last few pounds become much harder.  If you are having RNY  you probably will reach your goal quickly (esp with some exercise).  Maintaining your goal weight esp after the introduction of carbs and sugar (The Devil) becomes alot tougher.  Brian

YES, very possible. Don't know if it is reasonabel. But like everyone else has said we are all different.  I am 5'9" the day of surgery I weighed 324, one year to the day 165. I watched what I ate very closely. I now stay at 159 to 161. What really kicked it in for me was daily work out. For the longest time I only walked when I had the chance. When I joined a fitness center and started working out regularly, that is what got me to where I wanted to be, actually below what my original goal was. In the begining I just wanted to get below 200 and then 180. When I started working out and then running I let my body settle where it wanted to be. Truth be told that has been the hardest thing to do. After watching the scale for so long, you have to set new goals other than looking for the scale to keep going down.  pan head
