Liquid Fast
Well, this morning I started by pre-surgery liquids only fasting to prepare for the BIG date on Tuesday morning with Dr. Freeman; hasn't been too bad so far, just trying to keep my BS from bottoming out. I had to get some sugar popsicles this afternoon to help. The Boost Carb-control protein shakes are pretty good so far.
Hope everyone has a good rest of the evening. Tomorrow is the day for the good old Magnesium Citrate drink, ugh...
ok, first off... I didn't think the Magnesium Citrate thing was that bad. Mind you, I did the pre-op (liver shrinking) diet for 3 weeks, but the Magnesium Citrate doesn't really taste too bad. Just real citrusy (the one I had anyway). The "aftermath" wasn't too big of a deal either, but I think (for me) that was partially because I did the liver-shrinking diet so long... i.e. wasn't a lot to clean out =)
Next (and lastly)... this is it bro! Keep your eye on the goal and these few days will be a breeze. Next week, we'll be hearing your hospital stories (and we ALL got some of those :).... and before ya know it... you'll be splattin' farts all over the board!
Good luck to ya. Tomorrow won't be that big of deal. Hell I thought after i dranked the stuff that well my stomach was already cleaned out from shrinking liver for a week and I talked myself into going about 2 acres from the bathroom. Well i just made it back in time for the eruption. Good luck for the surgery and get ready for your life to change for the good. Ken
Just finishing up my cleansing as well. I agree the magnesium citrate was not to bad. The hard part about today was eating sugar free jello while the family chowed down on a good old fashioned easter dinner. the smell were enought to almost put you over the edge.
Baked Ham, Dressing, Green beans, Macaroni and cheese, Deviled eggs, Broccoli Salad, Fruit salad and a plethora of Breads and desserts.
I didn't try and make everybody feel to bad about eating in front of me.
Have a good one guy and good luck.
My surgery is tomorrow afternoon.
