I'm RNY...and I can;t do the bubbles...
so I go to REDLINE Liquid....BAM
I like the Sugar Free Rockstar.
I also had RNY so can't have the bubbles, but I pour a can into a 2 liter bottle and shake the hell out of it.
I still like the taste without the carbonation.
I have done this with the low carb Monster as well, but I like the taste of the Rockstar best.
Just don't get crazy with them, they still have calories you are drinking in.
Carbonation bothers me big time but I've found that Red Bull SF is light enough and causes no discomfort. I've found in terms of volume that I get just as much boost from Red Bull than I do the larger cans of drinks like Rockstar and Monster...so I opt for the smaller amounts because to me none of them taste particularly good...at least compared to the old favorites Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper.
As the others have mentioned when I want a quick and intense boost 5 hour energy (watch out for the niacin flush!!!), Red Line and Endorush really do the trick. Hint: a little something in the stomach helps avoid possible discomfort. Typically I only use these "high octane" energy boosters prior to a run or workout. I use the Red Bull when I need just a little nudge.
