A recent post by a member on the main forum got me to re-visiting my own pre-op vs. post-op blood lipids levels .. I had almost forgotten just how much WLS had done for this former-diabetic in that regard!:
(the first figure is the pre-op level, the second the post-op level, and the last, the "normal range")
Total cholesterol - 178 83 100-199
Triglycerides - 227 68 0-149
LDL chol (the bad one) .- 89 31 0-99
VLDL (also bad) - 45 14 5-40

HDL (the good one) - 44 38 (ugh!) 40-59 I just need to work on raising the HDL with avocados, fish oils or (gasp!) exercise ..
