Great news. Please keep in mind that you need to shrink your liver. So don't go out and do that last supper thing. Keep up the good work and it won't be long know. Liguids after the surgery is not that bad. Hell you ain't hungry. Ken

The first couple of weeks are usually the worst.  I was on liquids and couldn't try soft foods for at least 3 weeks.  Things got much better after that. It would be good if you could start walking every day if you are not already doing so.  And, it is worth it to try to lose a few pounds before surgery to shrink the liver and help the surgery go easier. Good luck!

That is awesome news cdecker.  I would encourage you to start putting some of the habits in place now before surgery so that it is an easier adjustment verses waiting until after suregery.  Especially, the stop drinking 30 minutes before a meal, no drinking during the meal and waiting an hour after the meal before you drink again.  Also, monitor you water intake to ensure you are getting the recommended amount of water each day.  I find that some days are harder than others especially when I lose control of my schedule.  See you around.  Bill
