Random Crap
Apologies, Taz! I was half asleep. I should be more careful about posting. First of all, you've been on here a pretty long time and I thought you were farther out.
Right, you won't feel full for a little while. For me, it helped to imagine that the liquids were just like the liquid diets I had put myself on before and that the calories were just going to "slide on through." CB and I actually did only shakes for a long time after surgery, because we wanted the liquid diet effect.
All you can do aside from that is hang on. One thing that seems to curb my apetite is hot food and being physically hot myself. Getting in hot tubs of bath water, sweating and so forth. Also, staying busy with some kind of handiwork seems to help.
Oatmeal seems to fill me up too. Maybe more of that one?
Hope this helps,
Dave
Hey Taz, it only gets better and better! You had better get used to it. And enjoy the ride. When I was going through your phase, I just finished doing the tango with the "Big C", and people thought that I was dying from cancer. Now those were some concerned lookes that I got. Just wait until you see your own reflection in a glass door as you approach it and don't recognize yourself, or when you are walking down the street with the sun to your back and see the shadow of some skinny dude in front of you! Have fun with it Taz, it gets better and better!!!!!!!!!!! Paul
That seems really crazy Taz that people are noticing that quickly. That seems to be the hardest part about being over weight is that people seemed to be OBSESSED with how big you were before or how big you are currently. A lot of times too I imagine is that they'll start re-examining themselves to see where they're at in their fitness goals and may become resentful or they might feel encouraged to do something too
