Knee problem and solution

Hey there guys.  It's good to be back on land again. Missed visiting the board everyday. So I've had a problem with my knee****ting together at night when I sleep.  It had gottne so bad that I was actually developing mild pressure sores and bruises on both knees.  I tried using a pillow, but it wouldn't stay put whenever I rolled over.  I didn't want to spend the $30 - 40 for a "knee abductor" pad at the local medical supply shop.  After a little  bit of thought.......WAL-MART.  Athletic knee pads (like volleyball players wear) for under $10.  Put them on, turned the to the inside of my knees, slept like a baby and NO NEW BRUISES this morning!!! Maybe this is a problem unique to me, but I seriously doubt it.  If you are having similar issues, give this a try.  It works.

Way to think outside the box Danny. This hasn't been a problem for me yet, but I do sleep on my side so who knows once I lose another 50 pounds or so. I will keep this in mind if it becomes an issue.

I had the same problem a while ago even when I was 350 lbs . Awhile ago for xmass my wife had given me a pillow as a gift . This pillow has been a god sent for me . I had the same problems as you along with my shoulders would colaps inward and cause a pinched nerve  dead in the middle of my back .   This pillow is called a body pillow .Its about 4ft long and round ,you know like a cyclinder . So I sleep with this pillow , one leg and one arm draped over it and I get the best sleep ever .    My wife now calles this thing my FRIEND , and I dont go any were with out it .Even when I go on a trip I take with me .I cant sleep without it . I have slept with this thing for so long now that it has needed to be restuffed by the wife . I had flatened it out . So she had to rip the stitches  on the seam and rap the stuffing up with some cotten batting to make it round again .             Nick
