Newbie . . .
What’s up fellas? My name is Jamie and I feel like I have found a new home on this forum. I only recently found the locker room and it is such a relief. It seems that so much of OH focuses on women, as matter of fact, most of the posts in the other forums are written by and for women.
Anywho, where to begin? As of today, I finished my 6 month pre operative diet and that concludes all of my pre –surgical testing. My paperwork will be submitted to the insurance in the coming week.
It’s awesome that there is a place where we can come and get support for each other, and I wish I would have known about the locker room sooner. It seems like I have gone through the first six months pretty much on my own, and that has been hard and very, very frustrating at times. It seems that is the last month or so, I have had so many people making fun of this surgery and saying crap like “If only you did this or that,” or “Are you sure you have tried everything?” and of course my favorite, “My cousins college roommate’s mother had a friend whose father knew somebody from work whose uncle had this surgery. And do you know what happened to them? They died.”
But I got through people’s moaning and complaining only slightly beaten up. I guess what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. So anywho, I look forward to being part of the locker room, it really is nice to have other men to talk to about this whole journey
