Guidance on Where I'm At Now???
It sounds fine to me. I'm just over 3 months out. That first few weeks of soft stuff, I had to measure 'on purpose' what I ate, as all those raw nerves weren't firing right yet. Once I went to more solid foods, I started getting full quick. I had a heck of time getting all my fluid in. Now I do better. However, I still cannot eat enough to get all my protein in. (My nut wants me to have 109 grams). I need at least one protein shake a day to get it all in. With food, at 3 months, it depends on what I eat. Chili, noodles (careful with those, regular can swell a bit), tuna, etc.. I can eat 3/4 to a cup. Now if I eat a relatively solid item, such as steak, hamburger, etc... about 3 ounces and I feel stuffed. For my 'go to' sandwich now, I usually get a small hamburger bun and toast it. I microwave about 2 oz of thin sliced roast beef, an top with low sugar BBQ sauce, and an ounce of good, sharp cheddar cheese. It ends up about a 4 ounce sandwich. I can usually eat most of it, sometimes not all of the bun... it is totally satisfying, and fills me up for about 3 hrs. Dale
