DFW DS Support Group Meeting This Saturday A.M.

It looks like I will be hosting the meeting again this month at our law office here in downtown Garland, since our lovable leader - Ellen - is still recovering from knee sugery (sounds like she's doing pretty good at it, too) ..  

 Things will start @ 11 a.m. and the meeting is open to anyone who has had or has an interest in the DS surgery ..   Feel free to PM me for location details, if  anyone is interested in attending ..

I'll actually be in Dallas this Saturday after I do a triathlon in Athens, TX.   Alas, no DS here though.  RNY and I, like you, are plenty happy with my results.

I'm curious though, why are you having the meeting exclusively for DS post-ops or pre-ops only? 

 Well, technically we are composed of a group of local DS post-ops, although all types of WLSers are welcome to attend if they want to  ..  I've never known us to have any other type of WLSers attend or express an interest to, though, w. the notable exception of Phatzcat and Mrs. Phatzcat last month.  ..  I guess b/c of our special needs and diet our info, experiences and problems are probably confusing at worst and boring at best to the other types of WLS patients ..  (?)   We also usually like to chow down on covered dishes we bring to our meetings, mostly high protein, high fat foods, which can be upsetting or "uncomforting" to some other types of WLSers or those on a pre-op diet ..     If you're in town, come on by, Kyp .. would be great to meet ya, either at the meeting or some place else later on (best of luck on the triathlon, btw ..  hopefully the weather will cooperate!)
