MRSA, Elderly Codependent & Request for Prayers
Prayers on the way. Once people have lived an addict's life, it's hard to get out, but it can be done. I'm glad your relative got the help she needs, and am personally glad a church stepped up for it. As the old saying goes...God does work in mysterious ways.. and maybe the structure of a faith based organization will be the hand she needs. I have found that once people hit the bottom like that, faith plays a bigger role than medicine in their recovery. As for the mother, prayers also for her strength. You can't expect a parent to walk away.. we just can't do that... but she has to have strength to be there for her child. God Bless, Dale
I really appreciate it, Dale!
The biggest thing now is not only wanting the mother to NOT take care of the daughter, it's convincing the mother that her taking care of the daughter is actually detrimental. Since she herself is 75, resides in the hills away from modern hospitals, and she is too old to be able to keep the daughter from going back to her old ways (addiction, filth, every manner of debaucchery).
The prayers seem to be having some effect though. Events are turning, left and right.
So again to everyone, if you would, please continue.
Best Wishes,
Dave
