Ooops, forgot that Lance Armstrong is a Texan although I heard he always wanted to move to Colorado like all you other Texans. Boner

There is a reason our National Motto is "Don't Mess With Texas", you know. And yes, I did say "National" motto. Most of us still consider Texas to be our own country. Bwah, hahahahaha!

Oh my mistake, I thought the Texas motto was"Don't Mess Your Pants in Texas" due to the high incidence of Texans soiling themselves from bad BBQ. Boner

Weak. Just like that drink from Colorado....I think you call it Coors? If you like that, you might like beer. Come on down to Texas and we'll hook you up with Shiner Bach.

Weak? I thought that was one of my better Texas blasts. Well given that, I'd better call it a day since I'm getting a little woozie from all that fine Coors beer (made from fresh Rocky Mountain stream water) I've been chugging all afternoon.  Cheers Boner

If Coors makes you woozie, two Shiner Bachs would likely kill you. At the very least, it would do permanent damage to you mangina. Bwah, hahahahahah!

Lance has probably developed all sorts of unTexan character traits from spending to much time in France. I wouldn't mind moving to Colorado when I retire. If it wasn't for that whole freezin' your ass off from October through April thing. And the fact that the cost of a decent piece of real estate would wipe out my whole retirement fund.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Excellent points, JFish. Speaking of the French, did you ever hear about the the History of the Middle Finger. If not, here it is. Most fascinating. Well, now......here's something I never knew before, and now that I know it, I feel compelled to send it on to my more intelligent friends in the hope that they, too, will feel edified. Isn't history more fun when you know something about it?   Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew").   Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew! Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute! It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as "giving the bird."   IT IS STILL AN APPROPRIATE SALUTE TO THE FRENCH TODAY!   And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing...

Lance definitely burned his Texan card, when he went "disco" and started running with the singer. Now he is with one of the Olsen twins? Give me a break. I'm pissed at him anyway. I went to his charity to do an event in support of them. ( I run a nonprofit trade association in addition to my day job) If we could not assure them of a $50K donation, they were not interested in working with us. Proud punks. We gave the $26K we raised to Children's Hospital instead. Must be that French influence on him. Texas, by the way, would replace France in the G8, if we actually were our own country.

Cool stuff on the charity work, FMW! My 10-year old daughter and I raised over $11K for the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults last summer and it was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done.  Regarding Lance.....he get**** up by so very many charities and has so many appearances that he must be pretty selective. I see how you would feel though. All I can say is that he and his LiveStrong foundation have done more for cancer research than any person on this green Earth (or at least it's green here in Colorado which is more than I can say about Tejas ). Given this, I have concluded he is a great man on a great mission.  Now concerning the Olsen twin(s)? As we all know, a man has his physical needs. Just ask Baja! Boner
