The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In
February 24th!

Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys.
For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest!
For those of you just home—
"Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there,
And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts-

It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!

... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!

Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!

But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------

Hop your Azz up on the Scales!

How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?

And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?

My Starting Weight? – 385 +
All Time Low – 179

Me?-
183.5 -Sunday Morning Weight for a change....
Down 1/2 a pound.

Highest weight 375 plus First consult      359 Day of surgery  324 This am             158 Down 217 from highest weight Down 201 from consult Down 166 since surgery Lost a couple of pounds this week.  I haven't changed anything except my running. I am now to the point where I walk 2 to 3 miles a day and for the last few days I have been running 2 to 3 miles a day as well.  Friday I get an hour for lunch and instead of walking the 3 1/2 miles I usually do, I ran it. Then when I went to the fitness center later that evening I ran another 3 miles. Last evening went to the fitness center and ran 4 miles, walked 1/2 a mile. I have stopped telling my wife what I weigh she is not worried about me not being healthy or anything, she just can't stand that I am getting close to her weight.  pan head

Hey Guys, I'm on the road this week visiting family in Oklahoma. It's warmer here, and that's a good thing. I haven't seen my family and friends here in 8 months. The drive down wasn't that fun though. We drove the 800+ miles "straight through."  Long story short: there's no scale here so no way to know my weight. With the amount of junk I"ve eaten, I'm not sure I'd want to weigh anyway. My 34s are loose, and my L shirt is as well. I've even been called "skinny" a few times since my arrival. I just can't help but smile. I tell everyone that, after surgery, losing the weight isn't the battle, keeping it off is!  Because keeping it off is so important to all of us. If it wasn't, then we wouldn't have had surgery, and we wouldn't be here for support. On that note, I'm a little shocked at the lack of participation on the weigh in. Come on guys, jump on the scale and chime in. I really enjoy watching the numbers drop for everyone.  OT: A few days ago some guys were talking about using cell phone as modem. JP was talking about how crappy the "EDGE" is. He's right. I had it added to my blackberry, and regret it. If you try to access any graphics at all, it shut down and won't diplay the site. I'm going to have it shut off as soon as I get home.  So much for long story short, huh!! Ronnie

Highest weight: 350+ DOS: 322 Last week: 191 This Week:  187 18 lbs under goal of 205 at 6'4" Lost 4 lbs this week.  This was a bit of a surprise, as I've been pretty stable for a while now, and am extremely limited in my activity due to my injury. Still recovering from left hip surgery from my bicycle accident on 2-24.

Been a while, but actually lost a pound this week. DOS- 412 (8/15/06) Today- 245 Been feeling my body change a lot, largely due to daily running, but this is the first weight loss in some time.  I was aiming at 230, but I think this may be where I stop.  I will keep trying!
