Hey Nick, I also did some time at FTCKY back in the early 80's.  I also dumped some cash at the fireworks warehouse but also a bunch more at those dive bars along the 41A strip.  Haven't been back since. Tom

So maybe we should start pushing people towards lobbying the fast food restaurants to be their "Jared".   Just think... get out you favorite word processing program and type up a wonderful letter to McDonald's, Carl's JR, Burger King, or whichever you prefer... hell, or all of them.. go with the shotgun effect. Pitch to them how much more business they could get from the health nuts and troubled people that are obese and trying to lose weight.   If they could only see how real it could be.  The only thing the restaurant would need to do is provide your food... breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Of course, there should only be 3 "squares" and maybe a snack. Oh the laughs...  can you image?  Can you imagine the commercials?  LOL

Yep, I ordered the salad from McDonald's for a while without their high calorie dressing.  But, I could make it much cheaper at home.  I doubt they'd want one of us to just plug their salads.

LOL!  (of course, I'm sure there would be a disclaimer of some kind at the bottom of the ad, in fine print!)

Didn't anybody see the movie "Supersize Me" where a guy survived only on fast food for I month. Living with his vegan girlfriend, Morgan Spurlock decides to try and eat McDonalds for every meal for a month. At the same time he reduces the amount of exercise and walking to match that of the 'average' American to make for a fair experiment. After an initial bit of sickness he gets to enjoy the food and eats it three times per day. However after a week or two, his doctors begin to notice significant increases in body fat, cholesterol and blood pressure. Jared was lucky he had good results, I think if anyone tried one of the other fast food joint the outcome would not be pleasant.     Dan

yes ..  a very interesting documentary ..    I remember that, in their defense, McD's tried to claim that the dude deliberately selected unhealthy portions and selections of their foods (e.g.  Big Macs instead of their salads) to eat in hopes of hyping the results, and pretty much positioned that they never claimed their food was healthy  ...  < eyeroll >   interesting side note:  the obesity surgeon featured in the movie was Dr. Namaan (sp. ?), one of Houston's finest (since retired) ...

That flick put me off Micky-D's as well, except for the occaisonal sausage/egg breakfast treat! Anybody see "Fast Food Nation"?  That will put you off your chow as well.
