Today at the gym I stepped on the scale as I usually do before a workout. It said 232.  I stepped off and took a deep breath. I got back on the scale and it again said 232. I stepped off and took an even deeper breath. Third time was a charm and the damn thing hasn't been lying to me up until this point. 232. Significant today above all days because at 6'2" I am no longer obese according to the ol' BMI chart. I am now merely overweight. I believe it's been about 20 years since I could say that. Thanks to all the people on the message boards. You are my inspiration and motivation in so many ways. New pics coming soon.

That is just terrific Dan!!!!!!!    WLS is quite a journey and lots of memories.  Man Russ, I am short too.  At my height I don't think I will ever be able to say that I am "overweight" by the BMI scale.  Congrats Dan your progress has been awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

swimming/biking/running. I'm finishing up week 4 of training for a triathlon on May 18. Then I'll start training for the Baltimore marathon. Then the Disney marathon. Then will likely do something about my excess skin after the new year. Never better.

Swimming/Biking/Running is probably safer. I'd probably be injured if I hadn't changed my running to "Pull the foot instead of stepping ahead" and "Land with the ball-of-the-foot under the hip joint."  (Pose running).

Hey Dan, Bet the "normies" have no idea how great being "merely" overweight is after being obese or even super morbidly obese as some of us were/are. Congrats on the stinker, even if you are "overheight"!
