Derrick just had mine done along with a hernia repair and wow what a difference in how it looks. I can’t say how much better it feels yet, because I am still in some pain. However I think the pain is more from the hernia repair, because that required sewing a mesh patch into the muscle. If I could offer one bit of advise is don’t do like me and go in for surgery with any little bit of a cold, because if you have to cough after surgery you will find out a new meaning for extreme pain and holding a pillow over your stomach don’t help worth a crap. Also I would ask your surgeon about using something called a ON-Q pain buster. Here is the link to check it out. http://www.askyoursurgeon.com/ It worked great for me. Good luck with your surgery. Derrick Congrats Man.  That is awesome. I want to have this done as well.  How can one get insurance approval?  I assume it needs to be deemed medically necessary?  What is the medical necessity?  Thanks Chris

My panni was covered due to "rashes and boils" which the plastic surgeon took pictures of and submitted to the insurance company "as medically necessary." They wouldn't cover the TT since it is almost always considered cosmetic unless there is an "extreme" amount of skin to be removed.
