Panniculectomy
OK. I hate to be the dumbass here, but can anyone define what a panniculectomy is for me?
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
Congrats Derrick.
By the way, a Panniculectomy is the removal of skin in the pubic area while a TT or abdominoplasty is the removal of skin around one's stomach. Two different surgery codes and, most importantly, surgical procedures.
The insurance companies sometimes pay for the panni but rarely pay for the TT. This was my experience anyway.

Thanks boner....man I never thought I would say that...lol I have been haveing rashes under my belley you know that flop of skin that we can either tuck in or out. So I guess I'll have to double check with the DR. when we called the insurance today they said I was aproved for a hernia amd two skin removial procedures. So I need to double check with them tommarow.
Thanks,
Derrick
OK. Sounds good. I'd never heard the term before. I guess panni refers to the area between your navel and your purpose in life?

Yep, for most of us, though some guys would define it as "the area between your navel and your knees".
"Pannus" is Latin for "loaf of bread", "panniculus" means "little loaf of bread", and are used in a variety of medical and anatomical contexts. Here's the Wiki definition:
Pannus is a medical term for a hanging flap of tissue. When involving the stomach, it is called a panniculus and consists of skin, fat, and sometimes contents of the internal abdomen as part of a hernia. A pannus can be the result of loose hanging tissues after pregnancy or weight loss. It can also be the result of obesity. A pannus can come in many different sizes and shapes and can become very large, even hanging down below the knees. The extra tissue of a hanging pannus can make personal hygiene difficult. Skin conditions such as yeast infections under the pannus are common problems. A massive hanging pannus can get in the way of walking. A smaller pannus can be an annoyance with clothing as the individual sits or stands. Pannus can be removed by plastic surgery operation called a panniculectomy (which is a type of tummy tuck).
