Ya,  the rug weaver's over in north Africa. They let their goats eat some kind of  bean or seed off of some kind of thorn tree .I guess since it comes off a tree it would be a nut . Anyway , They let the goats eat the seeds poop them out , and  they make some kind of tea or hot drink out of the ground up seeds that they pick out of the goat poop 's  I dont know , but dont goat poop already look like seeds or beans ?? I dont know just a guess ??          Nick

Don't know if you've seen Jack Nicholson in "the Bucket List?" He's a multi-millionaire drinkin his Kopi Luwak coffee. His buddy has to tell him in the end that it gets it's special flavor from defecated beans:

Similar experience with macadamians and pistachios. Love both of 'em but must be careful on the quantity consumed.  The funniest "recycle" moment I have had though was when I got home from my last hitch offshore and had eaten a significant quantity of SUNFLOWER SEEDS on the four hour drive home.  Upon arrival, I blasted a good one in the presence of my lovely bride who promptly asked....."Have you been eating sunflower seeds?" Guilty as charged!

The conclusion:

Anything you choose to recycle, you should first percolate or infuse.

Err...I didn't mean "first." That wouldn't help. "Second" or after running them through the strainer.

Paul,

You never know, maybe to cut costs. But for the macadamias? No, she can probably eat less than I can and she stays away from heavy food. She prefers starchy stuff or tiny bits of chocolate or sweets.

Best Wishes,

Dave

Dave, Although I have not had 8 oz. at a sitting, I have still experienced this phenomenon.  It happens with things that are hard to digest to begin with.  At least you did not absorb too much! By the way, I'll be heading your way tomorrow.  I expect to be in Narita on Friday afternoon.  I'll be thinking of you as I fly over Northern Japan.

Hi Jim,

I'll have to think balance in the future when eating even roasted macadamias. That's all I ate for dinner. I couldn't hold anything else.

Have a good trip. I know it will be hectic, since they expect it to be cost-effective, but hope you are able to get in some R&R.

Best Wishes,

Dave
