What did you bring?
House shoes and other things like that. But maybe the best advice I have seen came from Dx and it really did not have anything to do with what you take. But rather his suggestion was to shave your arms and the back of your hands where the nurse was going to be putting the IV in. Of course some people have a picc line or a central line put in. But if not, then shaving saves your arm from a lot of irriation from the tape they use to secure the IV. Hope this helps. Congratulations on getting a date!!!!! It will be here before you know it.
I too took a lot of stuff that I didn't use. I would second the house shoes and also PJ's and don't forget the chap stick. You may wonder why chap stick? I was not allowed anything to drink till after the leak test the next day and the chap stick did help. Maybe a pillow from home. Other than that your self and a positive attitude.
