Well it’s 3:30 am and I am getting ready to go to the hospital for my hernia and skin removal surgery. I am getting a little nervous it is going to be about a 5-6 hour surgery. Wish me luck guys, I will check in when I can. Alan

Brother Al best of luck to you.  Come back soon for  some sympathy, a few insults, much support, and a great deal of humor.  Sonny

Al, wishing you the best, fastest recovery!

Sonny, what's up with you these days?

Hey Dave--  As Snoop Dogg would say, "same shizzle."  I'm back on the fence about whether or not to pursue WLS, though my weight loss results without surgery confirm that I can't seem to do it on my own.  I'm going on a cruise with my family at the end of March and even the thought of that wasn't motivating enough to cause me to gain control of my food intake.  When I return from the cruise I'll probably touch base with my surgeon again.  Thanks for asking bro.   Sonny

Good to hear from you Sonny. If I couldn't have had WLS, let's see...I'd probably have done the next bext thing (at BMI 42), get out and walk at 5:00 a.m. before anyone else is up. But WLS is the better option. Everyone says it is "extreme", but at 2 years, out it really does seem to make a lot of sense.

Good Luck and Enjoy the Cruise,

Dave
