The Sunday Weekly Weigh-In

February 3rd!
Congratulations and Welcome to our New Guys.
For those of you headed in next week--Have the Greatest!
For those of you just home—
"Keep Sippin' tha****er, and Walkin' Bunches"- Hang in there,
And all of you "Livin' on Liquid only Pre-Op Diets!! Same thoughts-
It Does Get Easier/Different, Each Week!
... just hitting your first stall?
It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"
Then STAY OFF of Them!
But for those who Are weighing in-
Drum roll--------------------------------------

Hop your Azz up on the Scales!
How much have you lost?
Since Surgery?
Or in Pre-Op Diet?
And has the Scale moved this week for you?
If so, How Much?
This is Charlie, posting this for Dx. I hope I am not overstepping here, but I know we have all mourned the passing of his Father last week and I thought I would post the Weekly Weigh-In to give Dx the break. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, brother. My Starting Weight? – 387

At the beginning of the week was working our hard and burning anywhere from 400 to 800 calories a day on the treadmill and eating my average of 500 calories day (still only 3 weeks post-op) and I was not losing a thing. Then on Thursday I got the flu and have been sitting around for three day and eating perhaps a little more because I have time and not working and the weight started falling off again about 1 pound a day.
So here is the question was it a three week post-op stall that I have heard about or if I am going to be working our hard (which I am because I have entered a couple of contest this summer) do I really need to up my calorie count to at least match my workout.
Jason
I was fortunate enough to experience yet another week with excellent results. This is my 57th week of posting my current progress. My Wife and I have taken a couple of short weekend trips lately that has had a negative impact on my short term weight loss. Even at that, I am not too excited. We had a great time in Paducah Ky. watching Terry Fator (Last year’s winner of America’s Got Talent) and visited Patties Settlement in the Land Between the Lakes. I just had to partake of the local cuisine and got a little carried away. I am not going to beat myself up over one ‘backslide’ over a 57 week period. With that all being said, here are my results to date. 05Oct06 389.0 - Initial Consult with Illinois Bariatric Clinic 30Jan07 359.6 - Lap Banding Day 08Mar07 First Fill Band is at 4cc’s 16Apr07 Second Fill Band is now at 6cc’s 06Dec07 Third Fill Band is now at 6.25cc’s 03Feb08 254.6 - Weight last Sunday 10Feb08 254.4 - 0.2# Loss since last Sunday 134.6# Loss overall 105.2# Loss since surgery 18.0# Loss since last band fill Starting BMI = 57.44 Current BMI = 37.56
