Sad to say but even with my stomach fistular and NPO, I'm in better shape now than before the surgery, hee hee. I sat and watched a movie last night in our family room in sweat pants, a t-shirt, and woolen socks, and a heavy down winter coat.  Ha ha ha I'm doing really well, my wife and I found a better solution to my stomach wound and I'm healing much faster than when I was in the hospital.  My next and hopefully final surgery will be in April or May, it'll be nice to actually eat real food - but kinda scary too since all my nutrition comes in the form of Boost with benefiber, and a scoop of New Whey powder in a feeding tube!  Wow. I fondly think of all of you, and pray daily that you all are doing well and enjoying life! BobM.

Hey Bob! Great to see that pumpkin font again!  I was just about to ask if Card or anyone had an update on you. Glad to hear you are healing up and finally starting to speak in terms of "hopefully final" stages.  I wish you the best and hope to hear more from ya soon! Keep fighting!  You are truly an inspiration to many of us!

Hi Bob, It's good to hear from you. I'm glad things are going somewhat better and can barely imagine all you and your wife must have been and are going through. Your attitude is impressive and inspiring. I can see how the thought of eating actual food might be scary after all this time. I have had a smooth post-op experience but after almost 18 months still rely too much (according to my wife) on protein shakes and limited carbs. I'm still wary of reinviting old bad habits into my life. BUT . . . I am finding that my fears are exaggerated and manageable. I bet you do just fine--and I bet those first real meals will seem like feasts for body and soul. Be well, friend, and here's to an accelerating recovery.

Hi Bob, Great to see you back on here.  With everything you're going through it's inspiring to see how positive you are about everything.  Thanks for keeping us up on everything and we pray that all continues on this path in your quest for better health.  I also try to remember you when things seem to be a bit tough.  With everything you've gone through, my problems are minor.
