WooHoo! I'm in the Ride the Rockies
Thanks Nick. The butt butter will be flowing I'm sure especially later in the week. Surprisingly, I've never used it even on the 4 day Moab ride but 7 continuous days in the saddle will be pushing it I'm sure. The fee is $300 whi*****ludes support or SAG wagons, camping facilities and a few meals along the way. The money goes primarily to the host communities to help them build parks, etc.
It's quite an honor to be selected a host community for the ride and I must say this year's towns are a who's who's of some of Colorado's finest.

Thanks, man. Gotta keep cranking up the training or will pay the price later. It's been a tough winter weatherwise here in Colorado so I'm trying not to lose condition-wise. Hold-on so to spea****il I can get outside again and log some bigger miles. Spinning gets pretty boring for me and imagine the same would be true for you on a treadmill. "Hamster in a cage" kind of feeling.

Hey thanks, JP! Crested Butte is indeed a host town and we have a rest day there prior to taking on big bad 12,000 foot Cottonwood pass over to Buena Vista on Friday June 20. So two days in beautiful Crested Butte during the RtR.
My wife and I use to go 4 wheelin' from Crested Butte over to Marble and it was frickin' intense. Site of the worst 4 wheeling accident in Colorado back in the 1970's. A bunch of folks went over a 2000 foot cliff when their brakes failed on a steep decline. Gruesome.
Since we're going to be sleeping in gyms or camping the whole week, nice digs would be appreciated. Let me know and thanks again for the offer.
