Hey Guys, Over the years, ObesityHelp has thrown Conventions (usually on one coast or the other) and many “Dot-comrades” and “Cyber-Friends” have gotten together for a great time. Well, as many know, I’m a member of another Board that is the only “Not-for-profit” WLS Forum out there.  Throwing a “Convention” where docs and sponsors push their wares off on ‘members’ is not really an option. BUT- we have thrown a few “Non-Conventions.”  And are coming up on another this Spring. Last summer, Quix had a “Non-Con” in Vegas where members of Quix, OH, FatBlog and a couple of other Boards came together and had a Blast. No “Guest Motivational Speaker” or a roster of Surgeons hawking their services or Registration fee, etc… just a bunch of WLS Folk, getting together for the weekend and sharing their experiences. The OH Lexington Convention was one of the few that wasn’t in Texas or on one of the coasts and gave a lot of “land-locked” folk in the center of the country a chance to travel a shorter distance to meet up. That idea is what drove a few of us to plan a “Non-Con” in the center of the country

coinciding with Saint Patrick’s day Weekend. _________________________________________________________________

Awesome Dx.  I'm definately gonna attend.  I'll be in Monroe, LA on the 15th for the Warhawk Triathlon so I'll already be halfway there.   We'll drive up right after....  Or rather I may let my girlfriend drive while I sleep off the pain.  Heh heh.

Send me some more info if you have it.

Dx, Sounds like my kind of party. March 15th is also my 49th birthday so I'm going to try and make the trip. If Mike and Dave make it we can make it a Dexington reunion tour. Tim

I would like to give it a try. I looked it up and it is only 9 1/2 hours from where I live. Sounds like a good ride to me. Let us know more details.  pan head
