Just got back from Vanderbilt . . .
from my first meeting with the nutritionist there. Her name is Jennifer and she really seems to know her stuff. Easy on the eyes too, which helps! We went over the entire pre-op, post-op and full life nutrition plans step-by-step. After that, I gotta tell you that if anybody tells me again that "I think you're just trying to find an easy way out", I may just go off on them!
This is definitely not gonna be easy, I can see that right now.
But it is definitely gonna be worth it - I know that for sure right now too!!
Gonna post this on the Alabama forum too.

Bama Bob,
I remember my first meeting with the nutritionist. I had never paid much attention to carbs or fats or protein or vitamins or minerals, so I was listening to all that I was going to have to learn and keep track of - I had to leave because I thought I was going to throw up. I came close to changing my mind about surgery because I didn't think I could keep track of all of that. However, I stuck with it and after a few weeks found that it is not that big a deal if you just follow the program.
You can do this!
