.....but it'll damn sure leave a skid mark in the ol' drawers. Got the wife and kid out of the way, cleared some time off of the schedule and decided to try and go 4  miles tonight. Mission accomplished in 81 minutes. I doubt that I've walked 4 miles at one whack since my Boy Scout backpacking days. From the ankles up it felt good, but the ol' dogs are barking a little. May only be able to go 1.5 tomorrow.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Each month those miles get easier and easier.... Congratulations. Be kind to those feet. They won't give you a new pair if you screw-'em up. Best Wishes- Dx

I got a buddy who's got two brand new titanium knees. But I hear you about the feet. There's still a whole lot of weight living upstairs from those poor *******s.

I can't walk much, but from what I've read here about proper footwear for running, you may want to go to a good store and check out various walking shoes.  A properly padded shoe may help you on your way.  You may even want to check on whether you need some sort of arch support--I don't know--but you may want to check it out.
