Japanese Baths & the Cold Problem
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to offer one solution for the cold that lasts several hours, anyway.
I get in a bath up to my neck for at least 10 minutes in water that is 110-115 degrees. It also doubles as a warmup if you have some way of exercising at home.
Of course, Japanese baths tend to be deeper and we have a heater that reheats the water, but the standard tub should be enough for a good 10 minute soak.
Best Wishes,
Dave
I forgot, if you have any physical issues, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or are on any medications, please check with your doctor. Also, some internet sites say 110 is too high, so maybe slightly lower. I've gotten used to about 112 without any dizziness or feeling overly hot, maybe because I was doing close to 120 at one time.
Back in my playing days I used to dogcuss our trainer if he got the whirlpool anywhere near 110. And that was just for an ankle or a knee. I can't imagine putting my whole body in that ****
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
