Steve, The liquid diet to shrink the liver I’ve heard of and seen out on the Boards 1000’s of times, but the Yogurt business?  That’s a new one to me. Whatever, make sure you follow your doc's instructions to the letter to insure the most successful surgery Ever! It could be that the yogurt is recommended along with the typical liquid phase to get “Good Bacteria” levels up in the digestive tract?   Just my knee-jerk thought. If that’s the case, then you really do want to get the best from it you can. Maybe look for "live culture" versions of the yogurt. Are you making blender smoothies and such? Yogurt “hides” really well in a protein shake or smoothie. If just eating it, the Fage brand Greek Yogurt is pretty great.  It still has that “yogurt flavor” but the texture rocks! To hide the taste?

Add SF Jam or preserves, a little Spenda, and about 1/4th a pinch of salt and stir it up really well.  That gets it to tasting more like cream than sour cream. To really make it desirable, a ½ teaspoon of “I Can’t Believe it’s not Butter Spray” (0 calories) stirred into the mix greatly improves the flavor.  (of just about anything actually.) Also, one spoon of Sugarfree Coolwhip added to the mix and then throw it in the freezer turns out an Ice Cream Like product. Pretty tasty. There are also pre-made drinkable yogurt smoothies with extra “good bacteria.”  Activa (I think) is one brand.  Those are pretty good too. Less than a Month away!  It’ll be here before you know it. Have a Great One! Best Wishes- Dx

Steve, Welcome to the board, glad to see another Ohio guy here.  I'm not a fan of yogurt either, but Kroger has some decent versions for both before and after surgery.  Just check the fat and sugar numbers on them.  The ones I like are Carbmaster I think.  The better ones were strawberry banana, apple pie, blueberry, and cheesecake.  yeah, it's still yogurt, but it tastes better than the plan crap.
