Ideas/ Rules for Fortification of Men's Board?

I'm having difficulty posting/ typing these days, but mine would be:

1. No mention of any other Men's board poster in a negative light in PM or private mail. Let's be manly and keep it open, boys. I'm fortunate in this regard. Due to my having a Japanese OS, my PM was blocked for my first 1.5 years and, I never gave out my mail address. Anything I said about anything/ anyone was always in a board post.

Other ideas for manly conduct here?

Thanks,

Dave

i think i understand the post. i have never received a private slam from anyone. i think that's amazing considering the one sided, idiotic, insensitive bull**** i come up with sometimes. i thought for sure if someone lived closer to me they would have come over and kicked my ass by now! but nope. whatever was on anyone's mind they either said here, blocked me or let it go figuring i'm an a-hole and i can't help it!

are you getting private crap or something? in watching all the recent dustup in here i think all the guys have kept it out in the open from what i see, fight it out and stayed cool. did i miss something? i've seen some anger but no slugfest yet. i can only think of a couple times i've seen it get personal.

Baja made a good point replying to a post recently. i do seem to remember, as do you, that for us guys who have been here a while (and i don't consider myself an old timer yet) it took a little doing to get women off this board and call it our own. i don't feel i had anything to do in a big way about that. i think Dx, wad, buckeye, scott and a bunch of other old timers got the forum where it is today. boy, do i remember some posts to women back then. maybe some of the guys should read those! then they would see how tame all this latest stuff is.....lol. i just never remember any of us feeding of each other over it though. i remember some trouble makers but they left.

as for me, i keep it out in the open like you said. i can take my lumps, apologize and be humbled if need be but i would never take it past the board and go after someone. is that what you're talking about? not sure i get it. feel like i missed something....carbonblob

Hi CB,

The only thing that made me think of this is I see posts where people bring up suspicion of being betrayed via PM or mail. Aside from that, no specific problems.

My only problem with the board is my being an intermittent poster/ mailer.

Hope You are Well,

Dave

I am a very infrequent poster on this forum.  I will admit I have emailed others about a post on this site.  The only reason I did so, was because the poster bragged that the people he was talking about would not see the post because he had blocked them.  That was BS in my eyes, I was just looking out for fellow posters.  Anyone has a problem with that, oh well.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I say let's always remember that we are gentlemen, first and foremost.   When asking unwanted persons to vacate, politeness and decorum is of the utmost concern.  Remember, you can catch more flys with sugar than with vinegar. Words that I strive to live by

I've started wearing a condom and sugical gloves when I post on here as of late. Seems prudent.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Treat it all as gas....Not to worry, it'll pass. Fits of activity come in cycles So do swells of harmony. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems Or as good as remembered. Throw new people and stuff in the pool, and there are waves for a while And some sloshing at the edges But soon a new level is found that includes the new And all is calm again for a while. I think we only need to set up 'lifegaurd towers' If folks begin drowning. Till then it's just the normal push and shove of a day at the pool. Message Boards are just that- Some pixels on a screen. No biggie. Useful when used well, entertaining at least Even at their worst. This one will continue evolving into itself With each new person and goal reached. It'll be what the majority of guys here make it. My own personal goal is to not feed those parts that I don't want to grow. I can roll my eyes in private without ever posting to let the world wide web know- "I'm Rolling my eyes Now!!" Yes? Straightforward as I can be, Without pointing out "how straightforward I'm Being!!!" I tend to only be intollerant of intollerance. I know... I'm flakey like that. But, I'm happy. As with everything---- Diffrent strokes...  Best Wishes- Dx
