Hey Russ.  Do you usually do cardio indoors on a treadmill or stationary bike?   I find that when I do exercise indoors, which is rare now, I don't sweat as much (if at all) like I do when I run outside.

I am the same Russ.  No matter how hard I work out, I don't sweat anymore.  I used to sweat like a PIG.  I don't know the answer to the "Is it better" question, but it feels better to not sweat.   The Kevinator

I'm responding to the part of your post about always being cold since the WLS.  I have that problem and I've read that many other men have it too.  It's so bad that I've complained to my PCP.  He's done extensive blood work and thinks it's due to a vitamin D deficiency.  He prescribed a vitamin D supplement but I still have the problem.  So, he's going to double the dosage.

I've got the cold thing as well.  I never owned a sweater and now I have a few.  Even this past summer I preferred to go out to keep warm rather than hang out in the air conditioning.  I've been told it could improve over time but I'm not holding my breath. As far as sweating.  I still sweat in the gym but not like it was before.  I guess 150 lbs gone makes a big difference. Brian

I sweat like crazy when I work out. It takes a while to get the sweat flowing but once I get the old ticker up to the red line, look out below. I used to not sweat that much when I lifted but have ramped up my efforts recently (to get guns like yours ) and have started sweating during my lifting. I've always been able to sweat big time whether I spin inside or if I'm on my bike riding outside.  I still remember how I used to sweat just walking 100 feet or so. I used to hate sweating but now nuthin' better than working up a great sweat exercising.  Boner

I sweat a bit.  Today on the treadmill I did a hard 6 miles.  Afterward there were probably 100 drops of sweat on the side of the treadmill that had come off my elbows throughout the run.  I also drink quite a bit.  When I am on, I drink 90 oz or so a day.  It is always at least 64 oz.   As far as the cold thing, it is not nearly as bad as it has been the past two winters.  The first winter was awful.  I walked around in a snow suit because I was so cold.  Now at the same house temp a t-shirt and sweat pants takes care of it.

ok, back to biz. yep, i only sweat when running outdoors. way low fat percentage now i guess. i can't get worked up indoors very often. also, i wear gloves at home! i'm in sweats, long sleeve shirt and a vest! still cold and have the fireplace going. big time change. gail and i were always in different climate zones. now i'm the cold one all the time. she's always barefoot even in winter. that would kill me! what a change. i chew gum when i run and i'm never thirsty then. funny, same symptoms.......

Hey Russ,

I'm the same. I ran for one hour and cross country skiied for one hours. Not even pit, foot or crotch sweat. That feels better, but I wonder if the workouts are intense enough? Guess I have to sprint all the time to get the intensity I need for cardio benefit.

While I've got you guys, apologies if I've missed any of your posts, I get post-o-phobia sometime where I can't bear to type. Literally can't bear to type sometimes.

Oops, feel a late stage dump coming on!

Probably shouldn't bring that up, I'll have chicks on the main board wishing me an early death and stuff...

("Hope his glucose drops to 0" and **** like that...lol)

Dave
