Looks like a nice rig. I have been using a SAmsung Blackjack for about a year and really like it.
I can have it tethered to the laptop for high speed internet AND send and receive calls at the same time. Do you know if the tilt will do that yet?
I hear the OS on the tilt is very good.
The Blackjack II is out, and I think it might have the same OS as the Tilt.
I am hoping for the iPhone to be released in the US with the high speed data network (3G), at which point I will buy one. Until then it is useless to me, being on the Edge network (Edge of useless).
Only think about the Tilt, isn't it kind of a brick? (Large/heavy)
JP
It's actually about the same size as a Treo - but more screen and no keypad on the face. The screen has a keyboard that pops up when you hit a button with the stylus. The "larger" keypad slides out and the screen tilts so that you can set it on the fold down table on an airplane or table and type.... I honestly don't use that function all that much yet - but I intend to try and get used to it.
I got my wife an i phone for x-mas. I was going to get one for myself, but I can't link it to my outlook at work... so I got this one instead.
The bigger screeen will eat batteries unless you turn off the wi-fi and set the power savers on. There is a "smart power" feature that increases the periods between "syncs" as the battery gets lower.
I got a 4 gig micro card for it to store the bigger files, photos and porn
so that the device's main memory doesn't bog down. The ability to access my work email is a big plus! This way I don't come back into town and have to spend a few hours answering email.
Oh yeah, there is a cool free download from Windows Mobile called Live Search:
https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/software/livesearch. mspx
It has map directions, aerial maps, traffic reports, voice activated search, and integrates with your outlook contacts as well..... quite handy indeed!

3G means you have the fastest internet available on a phone today.
I don't get the 3G in my home town, but at work (a larger city) I get it.
I don't do the internet on my phone, but my son has the Blackjack like JP, and he has internet access on his.
He uses it mainly for RSS feeds.
