Men, I have some questions...
Just wondering.. I have had lap band surgery.. and i know the emotions that i went through.. before and after surgery...
What does a MAN go through...? Did you cry... were you scared? What went through your mind.. and once everything was taken away... how hard was it for you.. were you on a liquid diet.. how tough was that???
I ask because my brother is scheduled for surgery March 4th... AND he is starting to wonder...
His weight is aprox. 436-460 lbs.. what was your start... how much did you lose the first month... what should HE as a man expect.. and what should he not think about...
My Dr. said it is easier for men to lose weight.. but what do you think???

I have to agree with carbon and baja on this one. We have had way too many infiltrations lately. This is a mens forum. There are many other forums that are appropriate for the same questions that have come up lately, including a friends and family support forum or the main board. Perhaps that we should have a "man law" in the forum and simply ignore any posts that are not of the male gender, instead of what we have been doing lately and engaging in it to any extent.

You contradict your own mens law... YOU should not have replied!!!!!
BUT... I understand ya'lls PRIDE>> you are MEN... and obviously... YOU cant answer a couple of questions... I was speaking on behalf of my brother... There is a reason why he can not post himself... and obviously ya'll decided to treat ME like **** before and assume like all men... I was wrong for obviously wanting to help him...
Family and whatever support forum.. WAS NOT what I need... but thanks for all the wonderful help and the encouragement that he so really needed!!!!! Ya'll were great answered all I needed to know!!!!!!!
MEN SUCK!!!
I won't turn in my man card for trying to help out. Still, he needs to ask his questions here. Tell him I'm offering an invitation to join us. I wasn't scared, because I was well prepared and knew what to expect. His mileage will vary. You know that post-op period about a month later, when women freak out a bit? I got a little grumpy, but that was it. I sure as heck didn't have any faux PMS.
How much he loses is up to him, both in his head and physiology. It's a matter of what he eats, how much he weighs at surgery time, and what type of surgery he has. Men do have an easier time losing, too.
