Pouch Question - Maybe Stupid

Hey guys - I am having my 6 month post opt follow up this week. The loss is going great. I am down 152 from DOS. I have a question and I might be a worry wart. I am getting a different fealing in my gut. Not pain, just fealing. Almost like full, but I'm not. I eat well and correct (for the most part). I was wondering how we would know if the pouch has a leak. Am I just worrying about nothing??

I don't know, let me get a flash light and open wide!!!!! If your pouch had a leak,  you would me more than ill real soon. How you feeling now?? How can you feel full but be sure you're not full??? It could be nothing but its probably something, but if its nothing it will stop bothering you and if its something, you should tell your surgeon at your 6 month followup so he can tell you its nothing.  Wouldn't that be something??. 152 down from DOS.   You probably lost too fast and are having fat loss DTs.   I think that qualifies as a FART!!!! I think youo are going to be OK.  It does sound seriuos and is probably just your body telling you its full when you don't want to be.  Part of the process is to learn to get better at listening to your body and doing what its telling you or rather than what you want or use to do.  It can be a beautiful relationship when you communicate.  Don't listen and it can make you pay. Couple too many bites can case head i n the trash can for 2-3 hours. Good luck with that.

"Leak" is way unlikely. That’s one that would most likely show up in the first 2 weeks. But do definitely describe it in detail during your follow up this week. Some other "joys" in "Could" be include… Ulcer? But usually accompanied by some pain. Internal Hernia? But usually accompanied by Bowel issues either loose or constipated or both alternating. Another sign of that one is increased gas, but that could be from so many things. Partial Intestinal Blockage? But also typically has some twinges of pain and bowel issues ranging from minor to extreme. Talk to your doc. And in the meantime, review if you’ve noticed the "rumble" associated with drinking liquid? Versus not drinking liquid. Or when eating certain food types, etc…. Tracking what you put into the mix And tracking the various effects, is the only way to get a better idea from the outside. Oh, and I forgot the other biggy it "Could" be- "Nothing." Congratulations on the great result. This likely is not a leak. Leak produces a feeling of - Oh my God. Somebody give me a gun so I can shoot myself and take me out of my misery! It is very unusual to have a leak this far out. Maybe there is something else that could be going on. Talk to your surgeon. A quick X-ray dye study ro CAT scan will answer the concern right away. Take a deep breath, relish the success, call your surgeon office to morrow and ask for a 5, 000 mile check.

In summary -
* I am feeling much better - I really think its what I'm eating.
* I need to get out of the habit of drinking while eating
* I dont have the pain in the gut - its just gas I think
* I am meeting for my 6 month follow up 2morrow and will post what the Dr says....
