Tuesday Coffee Talk

Reading this post reminds me of a taste I used to love but just have as a memory these days. I loved chocolate cordial candies with cherry filling. I also loved having Cherry Suice liquor. I haven't had either in years. But, you post made me remember how that liquor tasted like the candy. I'm often amazed at the taste of flavorings. I've had some sugar free items where it wasn't the initial taste as much as the aftertaste that was true to the original. I think of the craze several years ago for Canfield's diet (sugar free) cholcoate soda. It didn't taste like chocolate, but the aftertaste did. I've been enthusiastic about DaVinciGourmet syrups. That said, I've tried their Chocolate Sauce and Caramel Sauce which are different from the syrups. The chocolate sauce has a strange taste and is probably not worth it. I'd suggest just staying with the sugar free syrups.
