Taking pills- protecting pouch
This always concerns me for some reason. I do not like to take meds and supplements on an empty pouch. Sometimes you can't take all the meds or sups. when you are eating a meal or a snack. If you have to take a pill between meals or snack, is there something that you eat a very small amount of that will better protect the pouch? I take Axid twice a day, but sometimes other things have to be taken in between eating. Are some types of foods better than others for pouch protection?
Thanks much,

For meds that are 'irritating' to the pouch Like NSAIDS, many have been told by their docs to use Dairy. Yogurt is a good one. But do give a quickie call to your doc To check out ‘drug interaction’ questions. Could be that simply "take with plenty of water" will do the trick. Best Wishes- Dx

I take five pills a day - some of which I can't take with others, and most I can't take with eating.
I just take them.
No issues - just drink water with them. No problem.
As far as supplements go - Bariatric Advantage has a great line of chewable stuff that's working great for me.
Your mileage may vary, consult your surgeon before changing anything.
Good luck!!
