Okay so I'm trying to burn some audio books onto cd's.  But it keeps telling me the cd doesn't have enough space for them.  I've looked everywhere and I can't find cd's longer than 700mb. How do I smoosh something bigger than 700mb to fit on this cd?

well... couple questions...  What are you burning?  Are you burning mp3s or copying something? Are you using CD because you are trying to play it in your car, etc?  Is using a DVD a possibility?

You have hit the limit of cd's   If they are DVD's then they have around 4 gigs of free space on them. You may need to break your book up into multiple cd's. I know that the lord of the rings took me 13 cd's to get the whole story. Scott

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!

I had this problem, as well. There are two solutions. You can use iTunes, Rhapsody, or something like that, burn them as audio files, and then they will span CDs. You can burn them onto DVD media, but depending on your audio system in your car, it may not read DVDs. That's the biggest issue I have with downloading audiobooks, is if you don't have a way of hooking up your MP3 player to your audio system in your car, you're going to be burning a lot of CDs. Which sucks, because the system in our Durango doesn't have an external hookup for an MP3 player. However, we do have a rear seat DVD system integrated and we can put a DVD in it and play MP3s from it.

Not that this has to do with burning CD’s but Belkin makes a FM transmitter that you can plug into an IPOD which works very well in the car. They even have a plug that will power the transmitter and the IPOD at the same time. Transmitter from Wal-Mart runs about $19.

Yeah, I've seen those.  My brother had one in his car, and TBH, I wasn't impressed with the sound quality.  Though it might be okay for audiobooks - problem is, if you download from audible.com and some of the others, the sound quality already isn't going to be the best. But if that's all they cost, I might have to give one a shot.  Be easier than trying to shuffle 10 CDs through a 6 disc changer.

If you use Itunes to load the audio files you can change the sound quality
