Stress test shows heart blockage.
Al, Great to hear they’ve caught this and moving to fix it. Angioplasty? And/or stint? They do wonders! Back when I had my valve replaced, What was amazing is how much better I felt, Instantly When I was getting all of the blood I was supposed to be getting. I’ll be keeping you in my Thoughts and prayers on Tuesday! Zip on through and get to feeling great soon! Best Wishes- Dx
You may also want to realize that you are far healthier because of your WLS and should be stronger in fighting the heart disease. Imagine going through this battle with your pre-op weight. Surely your chances of survival would have been diminished. Your heart problem probably would kill you at that weight or at least cause you a lot of suffering. Another thing to remember is that you were putting tremendous pressure on your heart when you were morbidly obese and the damage you caused then may be partially to blame for the problems you are having now. Unfortunately, the damage we do to our bodies by being morbidly obese may not improve as we wi**** would.
I think of how people who have bad smoking habits and stop, can usually get a lot healthier. Many times they don't feel any bad effects from their past behavior. That just doesn't happen with damage to the heart. I've read that the damage we cause while we are morbidly obese may not become manifest for many years.
I agree with Guy. This is just another bump in the journey and if you hadn't lost all of your weight, it might have already done you in. This will be fixed and you will be fine. Best of luck and keep good thoughts. We will be pulling for you.

Wow Al .. I had wondered if that has ever happened to us (i.e. getting the weight down and THEN hit with heart problems or stroke) ..
I feel for you, and guess the way to view it in the best light is if you hadn't had the surgery you would probably have had the problems before now and they might not have had such a good outcome .. At least now you're in good shape for the procedures, and BEFORE you have had an actual h.a. , which is important ..
Angiograms are no fun and can be risky .. (hopefully some day they will be obsolete) .. Be sure they do it in a full hospital setting (no "doctor's office" angios) with all the proper precautions and safeguards in place .. You should also be aware that sometimes they will want to do a balloon angioplasty procedure while they are doing the angiogram and, if so, you will be given that option .. You should talk with your cardiologist about this possiblity and the pros and cons of same BEFORE the angio begins, so that you aren't surprised and feel pressured to do it then ..
I'm keeping you in my prayers, bro ..
