(You Handful of guys, just hitting your first stall? It happenes to many....
Scan back over the last months of this weekly post,
And you’ll get a fairly clear picture of the fact
that there isn’t a "Typical" progress,
Just massive, persistent, overwhelming - PROGRESS!)
Yes, using the scales can make some crazy,
(Slower loss is Still Loss!)
-But-
Keeping track and forcing myself to "Watch It!"
Has been the "What works for me," for maintaining my loss.
I’ll eat, but know that I need to exercise a little bit more
If the numbers climb just a little.
That way,
I only make "Little" adjustments to my weekly routine.
If the "Scales Make You Discouraged?"

Capricious; Impulsive, Semi-Predictable
I haven't changed my eating or exercise. So I guess my body isn't ready to stop just yet.
Last Friday, I met with my family doctor. She encouraged me to stabilize at about 200.
My one year follow up appointment with my surgeon is coming up just after New Year's. So after meeting with the doc, I will decide if I should keep loosing or try to stabilize.
Overall, I'm down 148 since surgery, and down 167 from my highest weight!
375/215/208 (7 lbs. below goal)
Good Sunday everyone.
Weight today - 201
Weight Day of Surgery - 361
Highest weight - 383
Total lost - 160 since surgery 2/12/07 - 182 from highest weight.
Had hit a long plateau but it finally seems to be breaking...have lost 9 pounds in the past 2 weeks. My personal goal has been reached, but my doc wants be down to 172. I guess I'll keep hittin' the pavement
I am still getting used to the band adjustment. I guess I haven’t felt the band for quite some time, and had developed some bad habits again in eating too fast, and taking too big of bites. Slowly but surely I am getting back on track. I did have a great big smelly old F*A*R*T this week… I started my journey October 5, 2006 with a pre-consult visit at Illinois Bariatric Clinic in Clinton, IL at 389.0# and a BMI of 57.44. I was considered ‘Super Morbidly Obese’. Only 6 weeks after my LapBand Surgery on January 30, 2007 my weight had dropped to 338.4# and my BMI had dropped to 49.97. I was now only ‘Morbidly Obese’. Here we are 41 weeks later and my current weight is 269.2# and my BMI is now 39.75. I am now only ‘Obese’. My Bandiversary is coming up in 6 ½ weeks and I am going to celebrate it at least 120# lighter overall, nearly 100# of it since surgery. Down from a size 60 waist fitting extremely snug to a very loose 46. Down from a 4X (Size 20) Shirt that was very restrictive, to an XL (17 ½) fitting nice. I can now clip my own toe nails, and walk up and down stairs all day with no ill effects. On my Bandiversary I will post my entire weight loss journey week by week for those that are looking onto possible lap banding so you can see what my results were on a weekly basis. With that all being said, here are my results to date.

We're geting down to the home stretch before the big holiday. I'll be glad when people stop bringing in all of the goodies to work and my wife stops baking for awile. Oh well, it's all good (maybe that's the problem).
Here's my numbers:
Starting weight, 1st consult (January 13, 2006) 339
Surgery weight (March 20, 2006): 300
Weight last week: 180
Weight this week: 180
Total lost: 159
Have a great week. Rick
