My pouch has spoken
Until today I had no problems. I'm 8 days post Lap RNY. Very little pain, everything I eat (yogurt, jello) or drink has gone down easy. I've been eating slow and in small amounts. If someone had told me that the DR didn't do the bypass I could believe them. .....Until today. My pouch has spoken. Last night I had 1/2 cup of cream of potato soup. No problem. Ate slow. Today for lunch I had the rest of it. About 1 cup. Didn't eat slow (it was so good). About 15 minutes later my pouch spoke up. I got hot and sweaty, thru up, felt really bad for 40 minutes. I don't know if I had a dumping episode or just the result of eating too much and too fast. I learned my lesson. Trial and error I guess.
5 posts today.
It is called the Mens Forum for a reason.
We know women lurk here, and when a woman has a valid question about mens issues and WLS we try to answer as best we can.
This is a place where men come to talk with other men. Men act different when women are around. When it is just us guys we fart, belch, scratch our self and generally do what men do.
I am not trying to be rude, but if one woman joins in then another and another it is no longer the Mens Forum. Not to mention if some ones wife looks in here and sees there are women posting and wants to know what is going on.

The one and only time I got sick was on a cream soup. It may be the butter and fat content in it. Wait a few months then you can try that one again. Also (if you haven't learned by now) when you are vomiting it is almost like baby spit up. Try going back to things like tuna salad and egg salad. Boring but stable...Brian
Sounds like a touch of Dumping---
(Too many simple Carbs intering the digestive tract to quickly,)
And could be a bit of early lactose intolerance as well.
It happens....
Wouldn't it be great if we could learn to ride our bikes
By watching others fall off theirs?
Learning just doesn't seem to happen that way....Dam it!
Hope it passed soon,
And hope you've checked that off of "Good things to Do" list.
Best Wishes-
