I hear that not all men have to have skin removed. What is your story? Do you have excess skin? Do you just deal with it? If so, How? Are you going to have it removed?
I will or should I say I need to. It's not as bad as a lot of people have. I will have to self pay so it will be some time in the future. I got in the habit of wearing compression garments and I wear them every day. The Under Armor type shorts and T. I buy the Wal-Mart brand and wear them as under wear. It does help with holding everything snug so it does not flop around.

Thanks for the tip with the "underarmor" I haven't had my WLS yet but I am preparing for the future.

Great post that you linked me to. As I said before I haven't had my WLS yet (2/6/08). The lose skin won't bother me unless I can't "hide" it in some way. I hoping to avoid PS so I will try anything I can first.
I am 6'3" 315now (peakweight 323) and have only been MO for about 7 years. I don't smoke. So hopefully my lose skin will be minimal.
Thanks,
Mark

Yes, I am pretty saggy, but what a great problem to have.
I'm waiting until I have stabilized for 6-9 months, and wwwsee how the skin shrinks up. Then, I will make a decision about PS.
From what I hear around here, the surgery, pain and recovery is far worse than the RNY itself.

There are many factors. Age probably was working against me. I am an "exercise addict" so it wasn't just a matter of drawing the skin in, it just flopped and didn't weigh anything at all.
The real problem is that many insurance companies will not cover the skin removal for men. I went the self-pay route and it is definitely worth every penny. Exercise and sex are much easier without the extra skin. For myself, I find that I don't scare away people at the pool when I'm doing laps anymore. I am much less self-concious in a locker room, and don't have to answer those questions "about what happened to you?"
Good luck.
