Got a question for the gang here... I've had a chest cold for about a month now and am about to start my third round of antibiotics to try and get rid of this stupid thing.  I'm 9 months PO and before the surgery never had this much trouble getting rid of a cold like this.  So I got to thinking maybe the fact my digestive tract is totally different now that I'm not absorbing the antibiotics the same way I used to.  Has anybody else had the same problem? FYI, I'm going to talk to my doc about an antibotic injection the next time to see if that makes a difference.

Willy 2 weeks ago had my first round of anti-b's and had no problem - they knocked out my sinus infection in a few days.  I too was worried about the affects of my altered guts.  The anti-b that I got was Avelox. Here is an excerpt from the Avelox website. Avelox® (moxifloxacin hydrochloride) is an antibiotic that is highly active against many different bacteria, including those that are most likely to contribute to acute bacterial sinusitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and community-acquired pneumonia.  http://www.avelox.com/scripts/pages/en/home/index.php You may want to ask your Doc about this one as it worked very well for me.  Your mileage may vary. Hope you feel better. Chris
